Personal profile
Teaching
Biologist from the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences of the University of Buenos Aires and Doctor in Biology from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. My research work focuses on the experimental approach to understanding the neuroedocrinology of growth and reproduction in vertebrates. I am currently an Associate Researcher at the Universidad del Santa and I am studying the reproductive and growth biology of the Amazonian fish Arapaima gigas. Together with the team of researchers from the Genetics, Physiology and Reproduction Laboratory of said university, we have developed a non-invasive molecular sexing kit for this species using qPCR, which is in the patent process and will constitute a high-value tool for "paiche" aquaculturists in Peru in the short term.
